Therapy for Parents

Parenting can stretch you in ways you never expected.

Being a parent is one of the most meaningful roles we’ll ever take on, and one of the most demanding. You love your kids fiercely, but sometimes the pressure, the worry, and the constant mental load feel like too much.

You might find yourself lying awake at night, wondering if you’re doing enough. Or snapping at your partner and then feeling guilty. Maybe you miss who you were before kids, or feel like you're just surviving the day-to-day with little time to even think about what you need.

You are not the only one feeling this way. The emotional labor of parenting is real, and it’s often invisible. Therapy for parents is a space just for you. Not to fix your parenting, but to support you as a whole person: the caregiver, the individual, and everything in between.

Common Reasons Parents Attend Therapy

People at all stages of their parenthood come to therapy for a variety of reasons, including:

  • Burnout from the mental and emotional labor of parenting

  • Overwhelm from managing your child’s behavioral, emotional, or developmental needs

  • Feeling pulled in too many directions with no time for yourself

  • Conflicts with your co-parent or feeling alone in the parenting role

  • Struggles with identity after becoming a parent

  • Reparenting yourself while trying to show up for your kids

  • Guilt, shame, or fear that you’re not doing it “right”

Whether your kids are toddlers or teens, these struggles are deeply human. Therapy offers a chance to talk openly without judgment, and to receive care in a phase of life where you're usually the one giving it.

Support Rooted in Compassion and Lived Experiences

As a psychologist and a mom of three, I know what it’s like to show up for your kids while holding questions, fears, and emotions you don’t always have space to process.

Therapy for parents is an opportunity to slow down and explore your own needs, values, and patterns, so you can parent in ways that feel more aligned with who you are and what matters most to you. We’ll explore what’s coming up for you, unpack what’s behind it, and work toward feeling more grounded in both your parenting and your sense of self.

In our sessions, we’ll work together to:

  • Identify the patterns keeping you stuck

  • Rebuild trust in your intuition

  • Understand how your past may be shaping your present reactions

  • Learn tools to regulate your emotions and respond to stress

  • Reconnect with your values, and goals—inside and outside of parenting

  • Feel more present with your kids, your partner, and yourself

This isn’t about perfect parenting. I believe in building emotional awareness and flexibility so you can parent with more confidence, even when things are messy.
